Area Information
Torba is a quaint little place (about 4-miles from Bodrum Town) with a few bars and restaurants but you can catch the 'dolmus' into Bodrum which takes approx 15 mins. The great thing about Torba is its proximity to other places and the airport. If you bore easily or like it lively, Bodrum/Gumbet is near enough to venture out. Torba bay is calm and crystal clear, teaming with fish and is blessed with secluded coves, ideal for picnics or a private swim.
In Bodrum you can visit the castle, Antique Theatre and museums.Night time you can enjoy the bars Gumbet and Bodrum Bar str.Also do not forget to go for shopping to Oasis Shoping Centre(open all day till 23:00)open bazaar in Bodrum on Tuesday&Thursday(All day) open bazaar in Turgutreis on Saturday(All day).
Transport
Torba is served by the new airport Milas-Bodrum, only 35 km away. And there is also Izmir or Dalaman, both three and a half hours in a bus.Be aware that Turkey has a very good national coach network which links Bodrum to all major cities and towns. Regular public transport (called 'Dolmush') connects Torba to Bodrum.
A daily car ferry also runs daily between Bodrum and the Greek island of Cos.
Weather
Both the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts have a typical Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot summers, with temperature often rising above 30ºC (86ºF) in July and August. Showers are unlikely in the summer months, but the rainfall is quite high in winter
